Our Story

Every person’s journey is unique, but the need for dignity, compassion, and stability is universal.

Our roots began in supportive housing services, where our leadership saw a powerful truth: chronic homelessness and mental illness often go hand-in-hand. Too many people were slipping through the cracks.

In 2013, we began as a small practice dedicated to bridging this gap. Since then, we’ve grown into a full continuum of care — outpatient services, psychiatric rehabilitation, and now, safe and structured residential programs like our 1116 E 20th Street location. Our mission has never changed: to offer a place where people can stabilize, rediscover their strengths, and prepare for brighter tomorrows.

A Message from Our Founder

"Lighthouse was created because we saw too many people struggling without the right support. Our goal was simple: build a program that combines the clinical strength of a licensed facility with the heart of a home. When you trust us with your care, you’re not just a resident — you’re family."

— Vernon Holmes, Founder
